Day ten of the Paralympics was to be Algeria’s last day in Rio before the closing ceremony. There where only three athletes who competed, each in their respective athletics events, and they all came very close to grabbing a medal each.
Athletics:
Mohamed Berrahal already won a silver at these Paralympics and looked to earn a second in the T51 – 400 meters final. Sadly, it wasn’t to be for the Algerian as he finished fourth with a time of 1:24.06.
Mounia Gasmi competed in the F32 – shot put final, where seven athletes took part. Just like Berrahal it wasn’t to be for Gasmi, finishing fourth with a throw of 3.99 meters.

Sid Ali Bouzourine was the last athlete of the Algerian Paralympics team to compete in in Rio 2016. The young Algerian competed in the men’s 800m – T36 final, but just like the previous two, he missed out on the chance with getting a medal, after finishing fourth with a time of 2:15.03.
