It was another successful day at the Paralympics for Algeria, as a total of three medals were won, of which two were gold.
Athletics:

1500 meters world champion, Samir Nouioua added another gold medal for Algeria, as he came first in the 1500m – T45/46 final. This is the 31 year old’s third gold after he won two gold medals in Athens 2004. It is also his eighth medal he has won at a Paralympic games.

Asmahan Boudjadar earned the second gold medal in one day for Algeria in the women’s shot put – F33 final. It was her first attempt which did enough to win first place after reaching a distance of 5.72.

Sofiane Hamdi did very well to qualify for the finals of the men’s 400m – T37 in day eight. Following on in day nine, the 27 year old went on to add to Algeria’s medal tally, as he came very close to earning a silver by just milliseconds, but he ended up with the bronze.
Sid Ali Bouzourine tried his best in the men’s T36 400m final, however came last with a time of 1:00.22.
