Who are we?

DZ Sport is the first and only website that covers Algerian sports in English. We provide the latest news, reports, live coverage and previews of Algerian sport internationally.

Why in English?

Even though Modern Standard Arabic is Algeria’s official language and Algerian Arabic (Darja) is the language used by the majority of the population, alongside French and Berber. We believe that we should cover our sports in English, not only because it is one of the most spoken languages in the world, but also there are many Algerians who live in English speaking countries, such as the UK and North America.

DZSport was co-founded in 2016 by Algerian-Brits Youcef Dahmani and Dean Ammi.
