Algerian midfielder Mehdi Abeid is open to a return to English side Newcastle United this summer, according to Chronicle Live.
The 23-year-old made the move to Greek outfit Panathinaikos last year, but is said to be interested in coming back to St James’ Park regardless of what league the Magpies will be playing in next season.
Abeid made his Newcastle United league debut under Alan Pardew during the 2014/15 campaign and was awarded the Man of the Match award against Liverpool.
He has scored three goals for his current club in Greece, and Marseille, Valencia and Porto are all also reportedly interested in the man who has two caps for the Desert Foxes.
