Chinese Super League club Tianjin FC have made an immense £38.5million offer for Leicester City striker Islam Slimani, according to foreign media outlet Sky Italia. The Algerian forward, who came to the Premier League last summer, is already the most expensive Algerian footballer of all time after the Foxes paid £30million for him.
Slimani has been on international duty with Algeria at the Africa Cup of Nations, where a disappointing campaign saw him leave with two goals and one assist in three matches. Chinese clubs have already shown in the past that they are willing to pay huge prices in order to bring top footballers to their growing league.

The 28-year-old is Algeria’s 4th highest top-scorer in the entire history of the national team, but moving to Eastern Asia may dent his chances of getting called up to future squads.
Leicester have already shown that Slimani was a good signing for them, with the Algiers-born man scoring five goals and making three assists in his time in the English top tier. He has also helped Claudio Ranieri’s team reach the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
