Going into the final few days of Olympic action, Algeria were still competing for the medals.

A massive congratulations to Taoufik Makhloufi who won his second silver medal at Rio 2016 in the men’s 1500m final, narrowly missing out on a gold with a time of 3:50.11.

The men’s marathon saw two Algerians take part on the final day of the Games, with Hakim Sadi coming 104th in just under two and a half hours. Unfortunately, El-Hadi Laameche could not finish the race.
